solved: timeout error while sending "$rev R1" [b-control series editor]

for the record:

the solution is pretty simple. i was using the latest java version (as
advised in the editor's manual) jre (1.)5.0_04. after a downgrade to
jre 1.4.2_08 it works fine for me.
