Yeah, you can stack commands.
As for the speed of the note on msgs for the
cursor, I am not sure, and I have not looked at
it for a while.
I meant using ahk to convert midi to keyboard short cuts.
There are many control possibilities not available just in mackie.
I can imaging, tho I have not coded it specifically, the dpots, when touched
sending out the mouse click on the first item in the fx, to give the autoselect
eq, or whatever is the first effect.
I know, no one wants to use someother program
to do what the software should to begin with.
Ahk exe or scripts are very small and pretty stable.
I don't have live 8!

the knob quite a bit to get the next one to emit. I would like to speed this up
to make the control more sensitive. I tried playing with the resolution values
but it didn't seem to have any effect.

dot.net framework works side by side you should not have any problems but...
please try the following:
1. Remove all versions of dot.net framework, I do mean all (Use CCleaner);
2. Install the version 1.1 from the XP CD, I believe huskervu requires only this version;
3. Install huskervu;
4. Update the dot.net framework acording to your needs.
Good luck.

anybody??
The thing is that the installer behaves as if i wouldn't have net framework installed, altough it IS there!!
I would really appreciate some help!!!

That is an interesting thought, I will investigate at some point.
I am trying to focus back on music. Let me catch up and discover what you are
talking about and I will try to come up with a solution.
I have not even been using these presets lately, so I don't even know how they
work anymore! Hahahaha
In the mean time take your question about the hand over to the ableton live
forum, someone there might know how to access or what commands are involved.
With autohotkey we can map "many" things (either midi events or pc key to key
stacks of commands, actions or other commands in Live.
However, it does involve coding(ok - not coding but scripting).

Nothing in this world is perfect - I have been working with mackie emulation so long now... and I don't mean actually using it, I mean learning about it and creating emulations... that I loose sight of the important part. These are here to "help" us with workflow, to help us create music in a more seemless... no that is not the word... less removed from the process feel. I am still trying to find the "ultimate" layout for controls in and for a mix of flexibility thru a variety of methods, including; Rockum and I doing autohotkey (very cool and powerful scripting language) work to create FreeMce (mackie without a controller!). (Appologies to be - off bc topic).
I am currentlyworking on: Taking midi input (from a bcr or bcf or other midi controller and converting cc/notes/pbs to keypresses (like bomes without bomes.) I already have something working. It will be released free open source and I would love to have help on it (email me, I'll get you up to speed), it will be for either reaper and or Live. A guy just made QWmidi (check ahk forum) a very nice and small midi keyboard for pc keyboard (ok now I am way off topic, sorry.)
The problem that I have run into is two fold... 1. I am notmaking music when i work on this stuff. 2. When I am not making music, I forget what what my workflow is... that is what I need to have streamlined or how I want to change my workflow to be more efficent. Now there is the rub.
So for a long drawn out answer to your questions ...
1 - No solution - to the vpot led thing as I know it - the problem is the relative midi data. The Led's can't get a fix on position from relative data. I know it's a rub... but eh... when using live, you give up clip_fires. and to me those are more important. 2. I don't even have a bcf, only a bcr, so I can not even use bcfview, so I don't miss it. I finde I don't even use huskervu unless I am trying to tweak plugins and I like the dpots better for that anyway.
My advice - unless you want to join me or others making emulations (and I must say it has become an addiction of sorts or maybe an excuse because my music is lame...), use what you can, change it to your liking (if you can) but mostly get back to working on music, isn't that what it is all about?

I recently got a BCR2000, and am quite impressed with the Mackie control preset
for Ableton Live by genmce.
I love being able to switch banks and channels and have all the controls follow
along. There is one thing I'm missing though, and I'm wondering if it's possible
to achieve. I'll illustrate with an example.
Say I have an EQ device on each track as the first device. I can click on it
with the mouse, it'll get the "hand" and then I can use the d.pots. Brilliant.
However, even better would be to have it always follow along when switching
channels. So that the same knobs on the BCR would always control the EQ for
whichever track I happen to have selected.
It sort of half-works if I first select the device in Live with the mouse, then
move to a different track with a channel select button and that new channel has
a clip in the current slot. The "hand" will then move to the EQ device of the
new channel. If there is no clip in the slot however, the hand doesn't move. The
hand also doesn't move if using the cursor knob instead of the channel select
buttons.
Is there a way to set the hand via MIDI? So that e.g. every time I select a new
channel, a message will go to Live saying "put the hand on the first device in
the device chain for the active channel"?
Thanks
I was so excited after looking at all the posts and files regarding user presets
that contain Mackie Emulation. I immediately downloaded BC Manager and the Live
presets from this forum. I launched Live and started testing out the different
presets. Then reality set in when I found two major drawbacks to using MCU mode
in presets:
1) V-Pot LEDs don't sync with the DAW.
2) I can't use BCFView.
Please tell me that there are solutions to the above two problems. Otherwise,
I'll just have to go back to MCU mode.
Peace \/

Ok, I'll answer myself:
BCmanager is the all time winner isn't it?
With this I can pick the best parts of your emulations and make my own control
dream!!
Yet, I would like to know how do you know that PB 1 127 bla bla bla controls the
volume on tracks 1, 9, 17 etc... and how can i create my own controller, f.i.: I
want to navigate thru tracks in arr view and i haven't found any emulation where
i can pick that from. Is there some kind of Live MIDI implementation diccionary
or something like that?

glad to hear you liked the mod.
I got the same question about making the panels and sending them
to the USA in february.
Seems like shipping these over would cost at least 2 times more than making them
as I'm living in Belgium.
Your best option is to print the pdf (in files section) at 100% and stick it
together to make a template.
Disassemble the original side panels (and front panel of the top BC)
Put the 2 controllers on their side and see if the screw holes of the
template match the holes in the BC's.
Then find a local woodcutter and show him the template.
DIY option:
find 2 pieces of wood or MDF(I used MDF 9 millimeter thick so the original
screws could be used)
attach the template to the wood/MDF with (double sided)tape, put the second piece
of wood under it and drill the screw holes. I put 4 wood screws in the drill
holes to stick the 2 pieces of wood together so they won't slide while cutting
them.
Now cut along the lines of the template with a decent jigsaw.
After cutting, remove the wood screws and use some sand paper to remove
the rough edges.
I hope this helps...
