Hey Bob,
This will be a short note of thanks. I've been "playing at playing"
all my life. I've tried every method/system I could find to try to
understand the guitar fretboard. Nothing helped until the BEAD
system. I could always walk up and down the neck and recite the
notes in order, but that never helped me to find the notes that I
needed at any given moment. It's kind of like saying, "what's the
12th letter of the alphabet?" I could walk up the alphabet (a-b-c-d-
etc.) until I got to the 12th letter, but otherwise couldn't tell
you what that letter was. I always felt that the secret to unlocking
the logic of the fretboard had more to do with the horizontal
relationship of notes on the fretboard than the vertical
relationship. BEAD is, for me, literally the key that unlocked the
door. I recently began studying BEAD from your website and was
instantly amazed. I was so impressed that you gave so much IMPORTANT
information away freely on the website, that I just had to buy the
book. It's on its way now from amazon.com, and I'm looking forward
to continuing my study. After all these years of frustration, I have
that excited feeling in the pit of my stomache that, "something is
happening here." I feel that I'm on the verge of that
elusive "breakthrough" that I always knew was out there, but was
always just out of my reach, until now. God bless you and thank you
for sharing your gift.
Playing for an audience of One,
Jack Jackson
