"Walking On Abbey Road" - Update   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #6103 of 6999 |
Hi everyone: Just got finished going through Hurricane Wilma, and
WHEW!! That was amazing. Winds of 120-135 MPH, tress being ripped
out of the ground, patio doors going concave and convex within a
three hour span, you name it, we went through it. Anyway, just glad
to have power after six days without it. Now to the update of my CD.
The host of significant Beatles radio show in England has requested
a copy of my song for possible airplay. And now, the editor of a
major Beatles magazine in Europe has also requested a copy for a
full review to be included in their next issue. I'm excited as can
be about all of this. I hope you will give the sound clips a listen
if you haven't already done so at www.geocities.com/miker345 and
maybe pick up a copy for yourselves. The reviews have been wonderful
and people seem to be really "touched " by the song and its lyrics
and Beatlesque quality. I can't believe that any Beatles fan
wouldn't get a real kick out of a six minute song, written by a
lifelong Beatles fan, that captures his experience of being on Abbey
Road. Fortunately, many people understand what I have tried to share
with other Beatle fans. They also know that $2.99 is a ridiculously
low price to ask for the CD, which also includes three of my Beatles
covers, but that my intent is not money. I don't even cover all of
my expenses at that price, but I don't care. I just love the
reactions of people who hear the song and immediately write to me
saying how much it means to them. I hope you'll take a moment and
give it a listen. Thanks for your "ears" and I look forward to
hearing from you soon. Regards, Mike R.
