Superb black limba body with macasser ebony top. Haussel pickups can
operate as dual coils or single coils. 3 band eq. glorious! Was a Namm
model originally built for BB I think.

Balancing Act's debut release has received it's second review of the month in Bass Player magazine! If you don't have time to get to your local newsstand we've included it below!
In other news BA performed back-to-back shows in VA last weekend and it was amazing!! Our performance in Blacksburg, VA will be webcasted on our website, www.balancingactmusic.com next month!
Thanks again for all of the support, and keep your ears peeled to hear BA songs in places you might not expect....
BA
Bass Player Magazine May 2006:
"This mixture of vocal and instrumental groove music is especially notable for the two-bass approach of Cameron McLaughlin and Matthew Henninger both armed with Benavente basses. Mellow, funky, moody, and sweet, Balancing Act is one of the more accomplished sounding local recordings I've heard in a while."

Hello Benavente players..newbie to the benavente group. I had the
pleasure to speak with Brian at the LowEnd today..
Just had a few questions and he was very helpful...Thanks Brian!!
Hears my challenge hopefully someone nearby in the state could
assist..Was interested in seeing and actually playing an BENAVENTE
BASS. Brian thought It might help if I posted that request here.
So here it goes..I understand there are a few Benavente
Players/Owners/LowEnd Lovers that own one or two of these beauties.
Is there any possible chance of meeting one of you to hear first
hand the tonal characters of the Benavente?
As you guessed I don't own one yet...seriously in Big Time
consideration mode..trying not to have to much G.A.S :)
Your time and consideration will be greatly appreciated!
You can reach me here on yahoo ANSKL2@...
Brain...Thanks again.we'll talk soon!
Peace!!
Matt and Cameron,
Thank you so much, the CD is killer! I bought a copy the weekend after NAMM
at Brian's shop... pretty much have been listening to it a bunch, as well.
y'all did a great job!

I've been spinning this disc since Winter NAMM and it is quite amazing.
Extremely versatile in style music and by no means a dual bass player chop
fest. It was done with amazing music creativity!

As some of you know I've spent the last couple of years putting
together
a musical project with Cameron McLaughlin, a fellow bass player, who I met
at Steve Bailey's Bass At The Beach almost two years ago. Well I'm proud to
say that the CD has been completed and is now for sale. We released it at
the summer NAMM show this January to great reviews and are hopeful that the
success will continue and lead us to be able to perform on the road full
time. Over the course of the next few months we have arranged to be reviewed
in a number of national music publications but are primarily concerned with
the honest reviews of our closest friends.
I would be honored if you would take a minute and visit
www.balancingactmusic.com and give our CD a listen. If you click the music
tab you can hear 45 second clips of the entire album. If you like what you
hear just follow the link to http://shop.balancingactmusic.com and the album
is available; either mailed to your door, or through immediate high quality
mp3 download.
Thank you all so much for your support thus far. I truly am proud of
the
music we've created and hope that it finds all of you well.
