Pete asks if I we have cool Yeah Yeah Yeahs stories. I
used to buy lots of CDs from their guitarist when he
worked at Kim's. I saw them open for Arab on Radar and
they were good. Those stories cool?

I'm really not sure if Modest Mouse are good. I've
heard some songs that almost seemed to catch that
Pixies-like "Holy shit this song is fantastic" feel,
but then also heard lots that sound like boring,
whiny, wussy indie junk. Am I missing something? Do
those other songs grow on you or something?

I missed the Siren Fest. Are Death Cab a rock band? I
think to qualify as a rock band 1) the members must
play hard enough to sweat 2) at least one member must
jump into the air (or at least kick) 3) someone has to
play a guitar (or bass guitar) (or at least smash
one). Those are the bare minimum requirements. This
means, for example, that the Ramones are a rock band,
but the Eagles are not.
