I just wanted to give you a heads up on the 25th anniversary
show I'll be performing at next Friday night... it turns out I
will be playing only 10 minutes! Now the show is going to be
great with the rest of the line up, but if you're coming out
specifically to see me, you will be disappointed. Like I said,
it's still going to be a great evening with a fine variety of
music, so come on out if your in the area!
Down below you'll find the Uncle Calvin's blurb about the show.
Now on to other things... I will be the featured performer this
coming Thursday night at the Free Dallas Music Songwriter's
Open Mic! This is an open mic run by my friends Tom Peal &
Jenni Mansfield Peal, and I know for a fact I will get to play
around 5 songs, and get to listen to some new up and comers
at the open mic. Here's the details:

Our 25th anniversary celebration begins! We revisit some
of our favorite local performers and our 1982 ticket price!
Emilie Aronson - Reining Queen of Dallas Folk Music, Emilie
holds the title for most performances here (67). She
enchants us with her original songs of insight and punning
wit.
Lu Mitchell - The Grandmother of Dallas Folk Music, over
the years our second most featured performer, continues
to delight with zany and upbeat songs of satire and humor.
Sam Swank - Sam's wowed us many times and is THE
go-to guy for many performers wanting a studio and concert
guitar playing side (Olivia Newton-John, Ray Wylie Hubbard,
Johnny Reno…) or lessons in acoustic fingerstyle classical,
rock, blues and bluegrass. Tonight he’s ours!
Bill Nash - This faithful volunteer is a wizard of fingerpicked
guitar, an award winning songwriter (Kerrville, Wildflower,
BW Stevenson) and a charming singer.
Julie McClain - A long time volunteer (and John Denver fan)
who thrills with songbird-like singing and evocative lyrics in
traditional flavored originals and faves.
