It's been a while so i just need to let you all know thatNelsonica US
is still moving forward.  Here's the latest bits of news to crawl
across the page to die.

Hello, fellow Nelsonians! Just a quick update on our proposed
Nelsonica fan
convention.



As you probably know, we have decided (with Bill's help) on October
2007, in
Boston, MA. We have yet to set a precise date, although we hope to get
Bill
to focus on that soon. With Ian's passing, we know he has other things on
his mind, and rightly so. Patience is a virtue they say!



Right now, we're in planning mode. We're working on a budget, so that
we can
get a handle on what we think this event is going to cost. This will allow
us to set a ticket price and have a target of how many tickets we need to
sell to cover the costs, as the event must be self-funding. (We're
going to
pick a drop-dead date, and if we don't have enough cash at that point,
we'll
have to pull the plug and refund the ticket sales.)  A few people did
offer
to donate some cash to help, and we'll be following up to see if they were
serious! If you would like to donate a few bucks to help get us started,
please let us know by emailing us at nelsonica.us@....

In the meantime, we are working quietly to get our ducks in a row, and are
looking to make announcements about further details over the course of
this
summer.

The web domain of "Nelsonica.us" has been registered and content for
such is
currently underway.  We'll be building a web site, finding a "host hotel,"
working with the potential venue, ironing out a hundred details and trying
to keep everyone feeling positive and optimistic!  So while it might seem
like things are moving slowly, we ask that everyone be patient and
positive!



Meanwhile, there's a great chance to see Bill at Nelsonica '06 in York
this
coming October. York is fantastic, a great place to visit, and the event
itself will certainly be a load of fun. We encourage everyone who can to
make the trip - think of it as a preview of Boston '07!
