Martyn Phillips, isn't it? I have one of their first singles, Pink Frost,
which was dedicated to a very early Chills drummer who passed away not long
after recording the single, succumbing to cancer. Proceeds from the single
were to be donated to cancer research. A later Chills song also spoke about
the drummer (was he also called Martin?) leaving a bequest to the singer -
hence the song "I Love My Leather Jacket".

There's a brilliant compilation I have on CD - "Heavenly Pop Hits" - which
is a great starting point.

All that was off my head, except for remembering the album name.
