It's now dated as a contemporary tune, but Billy's cover of 'Think Again'
which highlights the Russian contribution to WWII is quite a moving song. It
also indicates the mistrust of the 'other' and what the cold war was all about.
It's on the 'Reaching to the Converted' CD.

There's also 'Rumours of War' and 'Everywhere' (from Don't Try This At
Home'), the former about the build up to war and the second about two soldiers
from different cultures fighting side by side; 'My Youngest Son Came Home Today'
(from 'The Internationale'), about death and conflict; or even 'Between the
Wars', which gives an indication of life between WWI and WWII and how
returning soldiers were treated.

I would second (or third) the suggestion of "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda." It's a great song which manages to be anti-war while still being respectful...
