Keith,
Nice work!! I really enjoyed the site and have picked up a few things
I didn't know about their discography. I wish I had a copy of all of
their demos. I would love to hear all of those songs I have never
heard before.
On a completely different note, I had the great fortune of seeing them
play live for the second time this last Memorial Day weekend in North
Hampton, Mass. at the Iron Horse Music Hall. It was a great show! I
saw Karen and Don come in early and stand near the door while the
opening act (Dennis Crommett - who was excellent by the way...)
performed. I was very tempted to go down and introduce myself, but I'm
always leary of putting people in that type of position. Anyway, I
thought that they sounded slightly tighter than when I saw them
earlier on this tour in Lancaster, PA. It was basically the same set,
except at the Lancaster show it might have been a touch longer as the
home crowd was calling out requests that were promptly filled as best
as they could. (They have forgotten how to play some of their earlier
material.)
They played an abbreviated version of "Moon River" during one of the
encore's. I wonder if they have ever done "Somewhere over the Rainbow"
because it occurred to me that they could do a great rendition. (Maybe
they did at the Lancaster show and thats where I got the idea from,
but have forgotten... shows you what my memory is like...)
Anyway, I would consider both shows to be truly special evenings. They
really have a gift and I hope that they continue sharing it with all
of us for as long as they can.
Thanks Keith!
Regards,
Pendimar
