In the official site, nothing happens if you click
on the first two albums. Did they disown these
albums??

I suspect the reason for no response when you click on
those first two albums is that they are currently out
of print. Unless A&M reissues them, or the band buys
out the rights to the recordings, one will have to
purchase them used, or from overstock, etc. "It's
business, nothing personal." One of the advantages of
a major record label is big time distribution. One of
the advantages of your own label, or a smaller one, is
that you can more easily negotiate to be able to sell
cd's at your show. I don't know if this is something
this band does, because I'VE NEVER GOTTEN TO SEE THEM
LIVE! :(
Speaking of which, I'm just DYING to see the updated
concert list (hint, hint, dear IM webmaster.) Us west
coasters have suffered a drought since...1995 or so?
concurring w/ Keith,I realize bands move on and would
prefer to focus on newer stuff, and that is
understandable. On the other hand, I think they could
have fun playing their "oldies" in a more stripped
down style.
To answer your other question about favorite albums, I
love 'em all, but would put Glow and Birds of My
Neighborhood at the top of the list. Not that there
aren't lots of fav's from the old stuff that would be
great in show, like "Curious" and "Beginning the
World."
Chris Clough, are you still on this listserve? I found
evidence of something wonderful you were involved with
a few years ago. I hadn't realized you were involved
with "Songs for Summer."
