please note that the website Bleeding Heart ARtist and the link----

the site will be gone by the end of the month
if you wish to check out the BHA site one last time or you want to
save something there there feel free to hit BHA one last time. its
been around nearly 8 years, it was always a free aol site that just
built up as Roger grow outward from 1999 to the present. they are
cutting off their free space so BHA will pass on into the archives
dust.
since the big comeback we have lost both Syd and Rick and many other
faces have come and gone. there was the reunion and the fanfare and
now it appears as a time of reflection. its been a long winding road
and I hope people enjoyed seeing and hearing about my nearly 10 year
journey as a Roger Waters fan from the never ending comeback
tour..... its sort of zen how the site is about to disappear. there
just a fleeting glimpse left.
btw some of the photos will still be available at

ask yourself
do I matter?
do I have a personal responsibility?

I just went to the show last night in Los Angeles. I have so much to say about it, but the bottom line is that I love them and I can't seem to get enough. I want this feeling to last. I went to their last US tour in
2000 (in Irvine Meadows). I had to wait 6 years for another one. My only question now is....how long do I have to wait this time? Was this their last tour? Will they be back? Does anyone know? Please write and give me some hope that there will be more.

Three days to go and I just can't wait! I've been listening / watching the In
The Flesh DVD.
And from what I can tell from the line-up, it's going to be a lot like that. The
only
difference being that the cool left-handed guitarist (and son of Stevie Ray's
drummer) was
not made a permanent member of The Bleeding Heart Band. Everyone else has been
associated with the band in one way or the other since the tour way back in the
early 80s
when Clapton couldn't make it so Andy F-L was called in to take his part.
Although none
of them played on Pros and Cons, many were part of the tour to promote it. And
The
Bleeding Heart Band was formed prior to KAOS.
That means, for me, that this band of Roger's has been together longer than his
first band.
I know that other Pink Floyd fans think the original band is still together, but
to each his
own.
So the rotating guitar player melodrama continues:
The Band:
Andy Fairweather Low Guitar
Snowy White Guitar
Dave Kilminster Guitar and Vocals
Graham Broad - Drums
Jon Carin Keyboards
Harry Waters Hammond
Ian Ritchie - Saxophone
Katie Kissoon, PP Arnold and Carol Kenyon Background Vocals
Who Needs Information about Dave Kilminster?
http://www.davekilminster.com/
In short, he's been writing for guitar magazines and playing guitar for Keith
Emerson's
tours. He says he basically plays all of Gilmour's parts and sings where Gilmour
sang on
the album.
But I suspect that Waters will give us a selection of his songs that he recorded
with
Bleeding Heart. Or should I say "I hope".
I'll report on the last stop sometime on Friday. Peace!
Pete
Due to money issues and bad timing (!!!!) I wasn't able to see Roger
on Tuesday in Arizona. Did any of you go? If some of you did, please
tell me everything, I'm longing to hear all the news! :)
I just found this article on another forum:
Mark Kozelek has been cast to play legendary guitarist and vocalist
David Gilmour. This will be the third time Cameron Crowe has cast
Kozelek (Almost Famous / Vanilla Sky).
Kozelek is a skilled guitarist and professional musician.
"When casting for Almost Famous, I was instantly drawn to Kozelek for
the role of Larry Fellows. I wanted to add a level of credibility to
that film, by adding a professional guitarist to the fictional 70s
rock band Stillwater. I used to kid him, how much he looked like a
young Dave Gilmour, so when I casting for this project (Pink Floyd:
The Movie), I knew I had to give him a call," Crowe said.
I really just look forward to working with Cameron again, I always
have fun working with him. This project was just too good to pass up,
Gilmour is God," Kozelek said.
The film will also feature Johnny Depp (Syd Barrett), Ashton Kutcher
(Roger Waters) and Callum Blue (Nick Mason).
They still need a Rick Wright, he's definately aged the best out of
all of them.
Cool, I really like Charlie Kaufman. He did a great job on
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. I was worried they were going to
get some lame writer, who was going to butcher the story. But if
it's based on Nick's book and being adapted by Kaufman, it could be
really interesting. I'm not that familier with Callum Blue, but I
hear he's english, so about time they cast a brit for this movie. I
hope they do a good job casting Dave and Rick.

Pink Floyd drummer, Nick Mason's bio about the legendary psychedelic
rock band Pink Floyd, has been adapted for the silver screen by
screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich / Confessions of a
Dangerous Mind.)
"I've been a fan of theirs for years. After reading Mason's book, I
knew I just had to do this project," Kaufman said.
Cameron Crowe (Fast Times at Ridgemont High / Almost Famous) is set
to direct.
"I have been a fan of theirs for years. Once I heard about Syd's
untimely passing, I knew I had to finally do this movie. Pink Floyd
practically invented psychedelic rock, it's time they get the credit
they deserve," Crowe said.
The film will follow the lives of 5 young lads as they go from a
house band in the wild 60s London scene to epic pop superstars.
"I was really attracted to how visual their music is. I really wanted
to capture the mood of the era. I really love quirky, visual stories
about real people," Kaufman said.
Johnny Depp, Ashton Kutcher, Callum Blue (Dead Like Me) and Sir Bob
Geldof (Pink Floyd's The Wall / Live 8) are also set to appear in the
film, due out in 2008.

DURING the summer of 2005 Mike McCartney was present at the main UK venue for the LIVE8 concert in Hyde Park in London. He was a guest of his brother Sir Paul McCartney and the show's organizer and founder Sir Bob Geldof.
Throughout the course of the event Mike took a series of private and quite personal photographs of the performers, the celebrities and other activities that took place over the day. They have formed a remarkable, if very intimate, photo diary of
the event. Most of Mike's pictures are unique from the point of view that they were taken from within the `golden areas' those behind the scenes that were not accessible to the majority of press and official public relations photographers, and certainly no member of the public was able to visit them.
In many ways, these photographs are an astonishing and unusual `unofficial' record of the day's activities, particularly considering Mike's special relationship with so many of the celebrities. He was able through those friendships and close links to photograph them at their ease and in `more natural poses' as they took part in what is regarded as the most astonishing showbiz gathering so far into this 21st Century.
Now many of his wonderful images are to be published in a special `one off' photo-diary book that records and celebrates this particular aspect of LIVE8. A special limited edition of 1,000 copies is to be
published by the Wirral based firm of Cities500 International Publishers, who also published Mike's earlier photographic anthology: Mike McCartney's Liverpool Life.
The luxurious LIVE 8 book has the endorsement and full support of both the event's creator Sir Bob Geldof and Sir Paul McCartney, both of whom have written personal forewords.
* Extracts from the Forewords *
Paul McCartney "Live8 was one of the greatest days of the year, possibly the decade. Bob Geldof telephoned me, explained the idea of Making Poverty History and aiming the concert at the G8 conference. I was sold. Bob's a great salesman.
Luckily, my brother Mike was there with his trusty camera to record the day and capture many of the exciting backstage happenings. This book is made from a selection of those pictures and he and I are proud to have been there together and to have been a part of this momentous event."
Bob Geldof "God
those bloody McCartneys. You ask one of them to pitch up - the musical genius one, and next minute the photographers, designers, guitarists, activists, mothers, babies, sisters, aunties, uncles and the rest all come and get stuck in. There must be something in that Liverpool mud.
Here's the brother's bit. The photographer, poet, hit songwriter one. He who captured perfectly a coming moment and a different age just before it happened with his Box Brownie or whatever. Who felt something long before everyone else. Who could hear the sound of it being born downstairs in the sitting room long before everyone else. And he shot it. Here he's at it again with his Box Brownie digital. Taking shots of maybe another age being born."
ABOUT THE BOOK
The book in the first instance is in reality an additional fundraiser for Sir Bob's charity and linked to the LIVE8 theme `Make Poverty History'. Cities500 - under the separate
imprint of Woodland Publishing - is producing 1000 limited edition copies of the book. The aim is to commemorate and celebrate the LIVE8 event one year on hence Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Bob Geldof have endorsed Mike McCartney's concept of the book. He has worked in collaboration with and Cities599 to make available in book form those fabulous yet informal photographs taken behind the scenes during that remarkable day. The book helps to re-focus the attention of the world back to that G8 meeting in Edinburgh and the LIVE8 concerts that highlighted the plight of the hungry, disposed and needy of Africa some 20 years after the original LIVE AID concert. We believe it is a perfect opportunity to support the ethos behind the LIVE8 concept as well as being an ideal opportunity to further the largely philanthropic work of the musicians and others throughout show business: those who helped draw the world's attention to
the desperate plight of Third World countries. The book is to be officially launched by the Liverpool Capital of Culture Company on June 29th (2006).
PEOPLE WHO APPEAR IN THE BOOK
Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Bob Geldof, Bono and U2, Brad Pitt, Sting, Jeremy Clarkson, The creators of Little Britain Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Coffey Annan, Chris Martyn, John MacInroe, Peter Kay, Harvey Goldsmith, Slash (ex Guns n Roses), Madonna, Richard Curtis, Killers, Peter Blake, Sir Ian McKellen, Joss Stone, The Scissor Sisters, Bill Gates, Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason and David Gilmour with his family - and, of course, one of the seminal band's founder members, the inimitable Roger Waters, along with George Michael and Fran Healy from Travis.
The books are being published as a gift for Band Aid Trust and the proceeds from the sales will go to support their efforts.

G8 meeting in Edinburgh and the LIVE8 concerts that highlighted the
plight of the hungry, disposed and needy of Africa some 20 years
after the original LIVE AID concert.
We believe it is a perfect opportunity to support the ethos behind
the LIVE8 concept as well as being an ideal opportunity to further
the largely philanthropic work of the musicians and others throughout
show business: those who helped draw the world's attention to the
desperate plight of Third World countries.
The book is to be officially launched by the Liverpool Capital of
Culture Company on June 29th (2006).
