Hi Friends. It's The Celtic Meltdown - St. Patrick's Day Celebration
time again. This year we'll be performing our "Eclectic Rock" at six
bay area events in March, featuring our Irish tunes.

- March 5 2004, Friday at JOHNNY FOLEY'S IRISH PUB, 243 O'Farrell
Street in San Francisco. 9:30pm-1:30am. Free. They have great beer,
food, ambiance, and hotel upstairs. Porter service included in case
you need help getting to your room.

- March 12 2004, Friday at The STARRY PLOUGH, 3103 Shattuck Avenue,
near the Ashby Bart Station, in Berkeley. Show starts with the fiddle
band HY BRASSYL at 9:30, BLUE ON GREEN at 10:30 and IAN BUTLER at
11:30pm. This will be a great night featuring the funny songs of Ian
Butler, and the fabulous fiddle playing of Colm O'Riain.

- March 14 2004, Sunday at JOHNNY FOLEY'S IRISH PUB, 243 O'Farrell
Street in San Francisco, near Union Square. We perform following the
St. Patrick's Day parade, 3pm till 7pm. The parade will continue
right into the bar… so join us for the continuing party. Whisky
in the jar will be played at least five times, each with a slight
variation in tilt of the guitar players. Peggy will perform a
mournful tune when the whisky is gone.

- March 17 2004, Wednesday – ST. PATRICK'S DAY:
--- First show from 5 – 7pm at O'REILLY'S IRISH PUB, 622 Green
Street, in North Beach near Columbus Avenue, San Francisco. This
show will feature a guest sax performance by Mark Christensen.
--- Second show from 9 - midnight at BECKETT'S IRISH PUB, 2271
Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley.

adjacent the Half Moon Bay Marina, on Capistrano Rd, Princeton. 7 -
10pm. HMB Brew Co also serves fabulous food and has a good view of

Howdy, BLUE ON GREEN recently experienced the "big time"-- being on
the "Bruce Lattimer Show" broadcast on TV. If you haven't seen the
Bruce Lattimer Show, let's just say its kinda like David Letterman, or
Jay Leno, except its on cable access. :)

Well, you can experiece "big time fun" with BLUE ON GREEN on Friday,
February 14th 2003, at the VALENTINES DAY CELEBRATION at FINN
MCCOOL'S, 213 El Camino Real, in Milbrae. Full bar, food, candy
hearts, champagne, conviviality and a rockin band will reign supreme.
Come join the fun, and meet someone special... like us! 9:30-1:30AM.

BTW, the last time we played Finn McCool's while setting up gear the bartender
yelled "don't play too loud, and don't block the TV". Well, later so
many people were dancing that none of that mattered.

Also, this Saturday, February 8th 2003, we'll be at APPLE JACK'S in La
Honda, located on Hwy 84, near Skyline Blvd. It's a fun, old funky
bar. Bring your Harley and wear leather. 9:30-1:30 A

note was wrong).

If you get off of 101 at Milbrea Ave (which appears to be the only
exit for Milbrea) you make a RIGHT onto El Camino Real and MCcools is
on your LEFT.

Please note: El Camino Real is a DIVIDED highway so you'll have to

See you at the show -- where I can wish for Peace, Health and Happiness to YOU!

Hey, we're off on our 2002 Northern California tour, starting this
weekend in Guerneville, then next weekend it's off to Ukiah, where
we'll try to get to the bottom of the historical question "Why would
someone name a town 'haiku' spelled backwards?" These shows promise
to be a good change of pace for the band, and if you're in the
neighborhood, swing by and we'll buy you a beer.

We close out the month with shows on the Peninsula and in Berkeley,
so get ready for the hard sell.

--Saturday, August 3rd, 9 PM to 1:30 AM at Connolly's Pub, in
Guerneville. Connolly's is an Irish bar on the main drag in
Guerneville, right on the Russian River. We did a couple of shows
there last summer, and discovered that the people there seriously
rock -- they wouldn't let us go until after 1:30, and the dance floor
was packed the whole time. Coming into town over the bridge, turn
left and park -- Connolly's is on the first block.

--Sunday, August 4th, 4 PM to 7 PM at the Stumptown Brewery, 15045
River Road just outside of Guerneville. Driving west, just before
Guerneville, look for Stumptown Brewery on your left. We'll be on the
deck looking down over the river, doing an afternoon show and keeping
it real for the weekend revelers. I wonder if it's too much to hope
for the French exchange students again this year?

Upcoming Dates:
--NO Chit Chat Cafe appearances in August
--August 9th, Friday, at the Ukiah Brewing Company, on Hwy 101
--August 10th, Saturday, at Zemolini's Coffee House in Hopland, CA
--August 23rd, Friday, at Johnny Foley's on O'Farrell Street, SF
--August 24th, Saturday, at O'Neill's Irish Pub, "B" and 1st, San
Mateo
--August 31st, Saturday, at the Starry Plough, in Berkeley

"Imagine the bands pallet of sounds reflected on canvas. Rob and
Jeff's shimmering guitar reflected as reds and whites, while
Paul's bass provides a dark blue contrast, Mark C's sax sends a stream of
cubist form and Mark M's drums provides a depth of the third
dimension." Yah, right!
