You know the tune; you can improvise over the changes, but is that enough? What goes into creating a memorable musical experience for both vocalist and audience? This workshop caters specifically to the needs of the jazz vocalist from the very first note to the final bow. Topics covered in the class include: the basics of song performance, establishing a rapport with the audience, working with musicians and arrangers, handling onstage mistakes, and sequencing a set. Class sizes are limited to allow ample performance time for each student.
