no, this isn't spam, tho' the email I received from Live365 almost went
right into ol' the spam pot. I caught this blurb out of the corner of
my eye just before I hit the delete button:
> Bobbie Gentry was a popular country-pop and soul artist from the 1960s
> who has curiously fallen into semi-obscurity. One of the first major
> female artists to write and produce her own material, she was a
> precursor to superstar female country singers from Linda Ronstadt to
> Shania Twain. Like Patsy Cline, her minimal production and
> arrangements ran counter to Nashville’s tendency toward excess. Her
> gritty, Macy Gray-like voice was the perfect fit for her country-soul
> tunes.
...and they kindly provided a link to stations that play Bobbie via
their various webcast listings:

don't know if this link will work for you (assuming you're so inclined,
I'm not) - it may be you'll have to do a search under "bobbie gentry"
to get her listings at:

just in the mood to share...
