I can't help you too much with the dates
but I can tell you that Gerry Cott left the band after
the fourth album, "Mondo Bongo" and while the exact
reasons are a little vague it is likely that he didn't
like the musical direction of the band which was
relying less on his style rock guitar and more on
synthesizers and latin or reggae beats.

The rest of the band broke up when Bob Geldof released
his first solo album (1986) following the live aide
concerts.
Pete Briquette still works with Geldof on musical
projects.
Simon Crowe and Johnny Fingers released an album
together and last I knew lived in Japan.
