Shem's Disciples - Sow Melodic CD Shem's Disciples is the brainchild of
percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger Marlon Sobol and
his brother Aaron. They comfortably blend Jewish spiritualism with roots
reggae, flavored with raw live hip-hop. The music is layered with vocal
harmonies; slamming instrumental sections and tight rhyming that make for an
electrifying musical experience.

MODERN SKA CD'S

Cuban B - Vol. 1: Hero Wannabee'z CD (Israeli Import) With their punk-rock
attitude and ass-shaking up-beat music, "Cuban B" stands out as the ska-stars of
this generation. Angry guitars, groovy beat and a burning brass section make
this eclectic Ska band killer. They have toured central Israel intensively, and
even performed in some major festivals such as "Boombamela" while spreading the
word of ska, reggae, dancehall and punk rock.

The Skatalites - Lawless Street / King Sporty - Lawless Street (DJ Version)
LIMITED EDITION 7" BLUE VINYL (Jamaican Import) This record is an awesome piece
of Jamaican music history. Lawless Street has got a driving dance beat that
never quits. The horns play a sweet-but-tough melody that is simply infectious.
You hear the tune as it was originally heard, from the original master tapes of
the legendary Justin Yap sessions at Studio 1, featuring Don Drummond at his
creative peak.

Bob Marley and The Wailers - One Love b/w Version 7" single (Jamaican Import)
Bob Marley and The Wailers spread a message of love, peace, unity and
spirituality that connected to huge audiences all over the world. One Love may
be Marley's most enduring song and message. This is the original upbeat Ska
version from Studio 1. The harmonies are great, and Marley sounds like a kid
because he was just a teenager when it was recorded! The B-side is a cool
modernized dub version of the Ska original.

Barrington Levy - My Woman b/w Dub 7" single (Jamaican Import) Barrington Levy
is one of the biggest names in Reggae and Dancehall. He's been rocking riddims
with his smooth vocal stylings since the late 1970's. This is one of his early
hits on the late Joe Gibbs' label. The tune's riddim is mellow and bass-heavy,
featuring great horn accents and a great dancing beat. This is a must-have tune
inna early Rub-a-Dub style from a legendary artist/producer combo.

Ranking Slackness (General Echo) - Slackest LP Vinyl LP (Jamaican Import) One
of the first examples of so-called "Slack", or dirty dancehall by the late great
General Echo. This is for fans of early dancehall DJ's like Yellowman, Lone
Ranger, Eek-A-Mouse, etc. It's that late 70's/early 80's rub-a-dub dancehall
style, with every tune on a classic riddim. The delivery is perfect, and the
tunes range from sexy to funny, with many a combination of both. RARE Jamaican
