Susan Hellauer, singer, teacher, researcher and founding member of the renowned vocal ensemble Anonymous 4 will lead a  Chant Camp weekend, Friday Sept. 19  through Sunday Sept. 21, 2008 at Wisdom House, Litchfield CT.

This Chant Camp will be a weekend of chant learning and singing, structured around a number of carefully chosen plainchant topics. Chant Camp is a participatory program of chant learning and singing.  Each chant topicpresentation begins with a brief, informative, illustrated lecture,followed by plenty of group singing, to illustrate and permanently"set" the lesson. Each day of the workshop ends with a communal chantsinging, combining elements of the day's work, along with extensionsand improvisations based on the day's material.

For both professional and amateur singers, using medieval sources and
modern transcriptions.

Maximum of 20 participants; Friday 6 pm (dinner) thru Sunday 1 pm.
