Happy Independence Day Drummers!

Well, I know a lot of people are on vacation now, and even some folks
will be lucky enough to get out of town for a while and see some other
sights. But for those of you who will be sticking closer to home, we
can create a few fireworks of our own with this month's FreeDrum event,
which comes right on the heels of the 4th of July celebrations.

WHAT: DFOA FreeDrum
WHEN: Thursday, July 5th, 7pm to 10pm
WHERE: 1st UU Church of Milford, 23 Pine Street, Milford, MA
WHO: You and anyone you know who loves to drum
HOW MUCH: $5 per adult (yes, we must pay zee rent)
WHAT: Hosted by Drums For One And All, this is a totally freestyle drum
circle where the content is created by whoever shows up. Dave Curry
provides the overall guidance, but aside from that, anything goes in
terms of the types of drums, the types of rhythms, if people want to
dance or sing or play flutes or didges. We can be supercharged and
energetic, or we can be low-key and meditative. But whatever shape it
takes, it'll be a good time.

RIVER BEND FARM STATE PARK in UXBRIDGE, MA

All day. All drums. Free and open to the public (donations encouraged)
Free workshops. Hour and hours of freestyle drumming in the BIG CIRCLE.
Dancers welcome. A family-friendly event for all ages and skill levels.
