The Famoudou Konate Boston Workshops 2008 have been sold out for months and we
are
thrilled that this master will be back with us once again as he tours the
Northeast US. We
are still accepting 'wait-list' students so if you want to get in, please go to
http://www.famoudou.com and check out the registration page.

The DrumConnection presents..

This Friday night, The DrumConnection will present a workshop for attendees in
our area
and others who may want to study with Famoudou. Alan will teach all the basics
of djembe
and dunun as an introduction to Famoudou's body of work. This workshop will help
you
play basic rhythm patterns, solo lines, dunun riffs, etc all designed to help
your
understanding of Malinke music. We will also cover the learning of song styles
and
approaches to drum ballet arrangements.

Friday, May 9th
7PM – 9PM
