Hey, that's funny I thought it was her too but quickly dismissed it.  Where was the photo taken?
 
A nice photo of MJ - how he should have looked.  Around that time I'd just got into Bowie (aged 11) and my boyfriend of the time (it was true love!) was a MJ fan.  He used to wow me with his moonwalking.
 
Watched Rove on Friday night (probably a few nights after you OZies) - dead man moonwalking LOL!

I was thinking it was Aussie singer Sharon O'Neil.
Was she big enough in the eighties to be pictured with such greats as Bowie, Midler, Cher and old Peach Fuzz Jacko??
