Bruce,
Sharon (who I worked closely with in '81 - '83) was my first guess too
but just couldn't make the connection with the others. At this time
she was a very high profile artist for Epic Australia (Jackson's
label) and certainly spent some time in the States.
She also had well connected management so it's certainly possible.
Maybe I should send Grant (her ex-manager) the photo and see if he'll
verify it.

Hey, that's funny I thought it was her too but quickly dismissed it. Where was the photo taken?
A nice photo of MJ - how he should have looked. Around that time I'd just got into Bowie (aged 11) and my boyfriend of the time (it was true love!) was a MJ fan. He used to wow me with his moonwalking.
Watched Rove on Friday night (probably a few nights after you OZies) - dead man moonwalking LOL!

I disagree. Those B&W pics are clearly the same girl. Same hairdo, same jawline. The pics of Sharon look nothing like her. I'm not disputing that Sharon knew Jacko. I'm just saying that's not her in the pic with him.

Good work. But I think she looks more like Sharon's sister than Cher's.

Thanks for the link but Sharon is wrong about Off The Wall. When that was being recorded / mixed she was still singing in bands in NZ and three years and three albums away from Foreign Affairs.

Sharon O'Neill's merch operator Mish has forwarded on the photo. Sharon's reply
is that it wasn't her and although she is not sure just who the girl is, she
certainly agrees she has Cher's cheekbones. Looks like Georganne La Piere is
favourite now.
