As a producer, nurturing a song to hit the charts is a huge accomplishment.
Producing two songs that hit the charts at the same time is a bigger feat. Don
Vito, “The Urban Legend,” has stormed the music scene with two singles currently
making heat on the Billboard Charts and holding steady spots on BET’S 106 & Park
Top Ten Countdown. One of his current hits includes “Do It Do It,” by Capitol
Record’s hottest and newest artist, Cherish, which features Sean Paul of the rap
super group Youngbloodz. The other is the smash love ballad “Good Luck Charm,”
for Columbia’s recording artist, Jagged Edge. On Cherish’s forthcoming CD,
“Unappreciated”, Don Vito produced seven songs along with three songs produced
on Jagged Edge’s new CD. Jagged Edge’s album is currently in stores while
Cherish’s street date is August 1st.

Now deemed as one of the hottest R&B/hip-hop producers in the country, Don
Vito has been adopted into Jazze Pha and Noonie’s Sho Nuff Records family. His
career began back in 1999 with his move from Gary, Indiana to the “Down South”
music capital, Atlanta, Georgia. He began collaborating with rap group Ghetto
Mafia, which produced his first major single, “In Decatur” featuring Silk. After
the single went Gold, he met many industry insiders and worked with well known
artists such as Sole, Blu Cantrell (gold album) , Mya (gold album), Lil Scrappy,
Trillville and Pastor Troy to name a few. As Crunk music began to take over, Don
Vito decided to get creative and started producing remixes. He teamed up with
Texas-based producer, John “Cheese” Williams to remix Marques Houston’s, “All
Because Of You,” and Bobby Valentino’s, “Slow Down,” which gained them national
recognition. Their work has kept Don Vito on the list of many artists requesting
production.

The current artists he’s working with includes artist Kiesha Cole, Ciara, Yola
the Great, Capitol Records new artist Aksent, Carl Thomas, and the Dallas-based
label, Major Money Entertainment, artist, Bossaliny. Don Vito’s vision is to
establish himself amongst the Timberlands, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis’s and the
Teddy Riley’s of the industry. He is going to keep it hot, banging in the clubs
and sexy in the bedrooms while staying versatile. Truly, Don Vito will be known
as the “Urban Legend.”
