I was "surfing" on the web and I found a page with a lot of US patents. I searched for "Sustainer" and like I thought, I found no patent credited to Michael about the Infinite guitar.. All the patents for the Sustainiac, Fernandes' sustainer and so on were there...

 

But I found something and I'm not sure if it's "our" Michael.. But they say in the patent credits: Brook, Michael, Los Angeles CA...

It looks like a midi controller of some kind... And I know that Michael "flirts" a lot with synthesizer and guitar synthesizer (GK-2A and IVL Pitch riders).. So maybe it is "the" Michael...

 

If we go to the web site of Interval Research Corporation (the company in the patent), we can find this in the description of the corporation:

Well, I was only supposed to check out my new mails and it turns into that big question... :)

 

But if it's "the" Michael... It's interesting to know that he still creates some kind of new instruments... or at least, he helps to create them...
