My freinds: Michael Brook studied with the great Kirana vocalist Pandit Pran Nath about the same time as Jon Hassell and after Terry Riley , who by the way heads the school now. So the world music scene has some streams of evolving consciousness or (taste in music), and Michael Brook is part of this and brings me exquisite pleasure through his many collaborations. In response to you Peter, while I have no details , I am looking forward to this upcoming album collaboration. Did you listen to the album Mustt Mustt or the album Night Song with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan? One of my all time favorites , actually all of Brook is my favorite, so of all of Brook's work , his collaborration with Middle Eastern and Hindi ( U. Srinivas: Dream) reside on top of my complete favorite list. And so I await any new album and recommend seeing as many live performances as possible of this music. As the masters play with and to the immediate audience making for a sublime experience. In the eastern tradition , music is intimate and seems to run in two veins : Love songs ( their pop ) and devotional. No music about driving a chevy down hwy 66 or junk yard dogs. But I digress.
I just bought the DVD Imax film : Fires of Kuwait just to hear the Micael Brook sound track for it. I've bought other sound tracks just to hear somemore M.B. Even the depressing Affliction and strange Albino Alligator has their perfect M.B. moments. Million Dollor Hotel and Heat were cool and more a mix or joint effort lending a more viseral range with Euro-heavy metal juxtaposed against the more delicate Eno and Hassell or M.B. flavors. Heat is a great action flick if you like that stuff.
Back to the original line of thought: I don't have any of the music by Dr. Hukue Zawose, but now will keep my eyes peeled for his stuff; thank you Peter.

afternote: I highly recommend The Room by Harold Budd ,if you enjoyed his Pearl,The White Arcades, Lovely Thunder, Ambient 2 period of albums. A very pleasant surprise. Minimal and elegant, an ambient classic made in 2000.
