I've been checking his myspace page nearly every day (including today)
for news about his recovery and when he'd renew his tour plans, but
today I saw in my weekly email from SF venues Great American Music
Hall and Slim's that he will be appearing at Great American Music Hall
on Fri Jan 26!! It's where I last saw him way back in 1998 (I think)
with Djivan Gasparyan.

Tickets go on sale this Sunday (Dec 26).... http://www.musichallsf.com

It's billed as being "Michael Brook with Lisa Germano and Rich Evans"
which is totally cool!! Evans toured with him before (as well as
being all over his recent releases), but to have Germano along with
him is excellent double-bonus... (I just saw that she had cancelled
her small west coast December tour -- for "childish reasons," so I'm
even more amazed at her participation.) I will only mention that her
collaboration with him on "Want" is especially evocative to me at this
time in my life.

This news has totally made my day, at a time when I really could use
such a lift... Thank you Michael! (and Richard and Lisa)... I am
glad that (barring any information to the contrary) that you are
recovering from your injuries well enough to renew your tour plans so
soon!
