Hello Cherhen,
Many thanks for your reply.
I have seen Bob in concert only once, and it was last week in Rotterdam. It was
fantastic, and although he is not getting any younger, he hasn't lost his voice,
and he could sing alright!
In fact I enjoyed it so much that I will go to see him again. I should have done
this years ago really.
I am 30 but have been listening to Bob Dylan's music for 17 years. I can't
remember which song I got to hear first but it was probably an old classic...
The first album I got was one of his first best-of type. I was about 14 I guess.
But the first real album I got was the Bootleg series 1-3. Not bad at 15!
I also read Tarentula at around the same age. As I am French but speaks good
english (I have lived in Ireland for 6 years), I can say he really is the first
American Poet who turned me into American poetry.
I hope this reply from me fulfills your questions. Yes I do like Tom Waits as
well.
Hope to get to know you a little better.
Val.
