I strongly encourage you to watch, and preferably
video, so that other socialists can find out more
about how the world works, the Channel 5 programme
which discusses the 10 greatest conspiracy theories
according to the number of websites that discuss them.

Number 10 in the list is a particularly important one
- that the moon landings were faked. The evidence in
the programme is not particularly convincing one way
or the other - they fail to point out that there are
Van Allen belts around the Earth which would kill
anybody attempting to travel into outer space. I
looked at some internet debates on the issue after
seeing the programme when it was first aired, and the
NASA apologists resorted to saying that there wasn't
much radiation and a spaceship could travel quickly
through it without its occupants dying. It doesn't
sound particularly convincing.

Besides, if the likes of George W Bush and Tony Blair
could travel into outer space, before long they'd be
blowing up whole planets with "Great Balls of Fire" as
Jerry Lee Lewis would put it (that song is my karaoke
speciality and one that I'll have to do with the
revolutionary socialist band Galaxia that I'll soon be
setting up, although we'll probably prefer to do some
more obviously political songs first - within the next
few days you'll be able to find out information about
my plans for the band at www.galaxiamusic.net).

Einstein's theory of "relativity" is so obviously a
hoax - according to it, if one planet is travelling at
nearly the speed of light in one direction and it
passes a spaceship travelling at the same speed in the
opposite direction, their relative speeds are
somewhere between that speed and the speed of light!
Einstein concocted it (for reasons of good or evil) to
explain away the fact that we haven't been contacted
by aliens. The fact of the matter is that we are not
ready for contacting yet, except perhaps a few
individuals, because we are still living in a
capitalist society while the society in the galaxy
obviously has to be overwhelmingly socialist to avoid
self destructing. Many people claim to have been
abducted and experimented on in evil ways by aliens -
in my opinion this is a hoax perpetrated by agents of
big business, to portray aliens as evil. The film
"Independence Day" was similar propaganda.

We all know that many people have seen "unidentified
flying objects" (UFOs) that they think are spaceships
from other planets - what few people know is that
there were a huge number of UFO sightings over Mexico
in January 1994 when the Zapatista uprising in the
Chiapas area of that country started.

I won't spoil the ending by revealing the world's
greatest conspiracy theory - but I will say that it is
the main way that big business (a tiny number of
people) keeps control over the working class (a huge
number of people).

One way of speeding up the ending of the class
struggle - and in the process solving the problems of
wars, famines, deaths from preventable diseases,
poverty, unemployment, homelessness and
discrimination, is to watch and distribute people who
can come to their own conclusions about which
conspiracy theories are real and which are hoaxes.
