I'm happy to say I attended both Built to Spill concerts this past
Monday and Tuesday at First Avenue in Mpls. Both shows were amazing. It
was nice to see Phil Ek behind the soundboard as well.
Once again, Jim Roth (Delusions) played with BTS, just like the last time
they played here two years ago. Although, this time around Brett Netson
(Caustic Resin) was not along to throw in his wall of guitar sounds.
Perhaps as a result, there was more room for Doug to show off his own
genious guitar skills. I feel that he sort of took the backseat on the
previous tour, but this was not the case this trip to town. He was driving
the bus and we, the audience, were lucky passengers taken for an exciting
and fun filled ride.
Viva la Built to Spill.
