I'm not dead... I got a new job and moved to Ireland in July with my whole family and have landed in a crazy busy life here... I'm still hosting http://bts.23.com/ but I haven't updated it with the fall tour, and I think there are a couple of dates that aren't listed. Embarassing, but I'm saving all the mail I've got, and hope to find a day to do updates soon. Not easy when you're living abroad... every free day I get I feel more like wandering down random roads here to see what I'll find.
I thought the record was better than the previous one, and the shows in June were great... loved the new-new songs, and Re-Arrange. Calvin's video cameo was sweet. I hear a rumor that they're coming to Europe in the Spring, and Doug said last June that Ireland wasn't out of the question... fingers are crossed.
All the best to all of you,

I haven't posted in years but it's good too see that there are still some unyielding devotees out there. The two shows in DC last year were great. I think some people in the crowd were confused by the slide show. More... http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6204355The new album is between good and really good. Great would be UAW or PFNO.Thanks!Mark D.----- Original Message -----From: revmanSent: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 3:56 PMSubject: RE: [bts] final take on the new album
This list used to be great, then it just up and died one summer. I really like the new album. I could listen to the last 4 songs on repeat for a day or two easily.

I thought "Goin' Against Your Mind" was a great first step on the
album, lots of swagger and ballsiness to put a long song first up on
the album.
And then "Conventional Wisdom" was a great pop song.
But the rest of the album sounded like rejects from Ancient Melodies
of the Future.
I've been on the list since maybe 2000. It was pretty quiet even when
I first joined...
