It looks like November for the box, according to
a very reliable source. Look for unreleased tracks,
demos, and and the time-tested favorites.<br>But hang on
to the three originals, as not everything will be on
it!
Thanks for invite eaxs. I'm always looking to trade Neil/CSNY and Buffalo
Springfield bootleg CDs and videos if anyone is interested. Been collecting for
close to 30 years.
I have a copy of the hard to find Dewey Martins
Medicine Ball and was wonderin' if he ever pursued to
record any more albums since? This is a great soulful
album with Dewey's original recordings of "Indian
Child", "Recital Palmer" ( Bruce Palmer), "I Do Believe",
and "Race Me on Down".<br>As a once member of the
Dillards, Dewey of course became the drummer of the Buffalo
Springfield, then pursued a solo career when the Springfield
broke up.<br>What is Dewey doing now? Does anybody
know?
These two guys could really write some awesome
songs back then. And for only being the age they were.
Their musical gifts still blow me away. I too am
waiting for the boxed set. They are one band that I wish
I could have seen live. Also Poco with Richie
Furay.
John Einarson, respected author of "For What It's
Worth:The Story Of The Buffalo Springfield," was kind
enough to share his comments regarding "The Kingston
Trio & John" credit among the many names on the
Buffalo Springfield "Again" album. Read more about the
Kingston Trio's influence on Richie at the Kingston Trio
Coffeehouse, here at Yahoo! Clubs.
Dewey's likely in retirement, waiting for the
reunion. <br>He did tour for a short time after the
"final" Springfield breakup in the 60's with the late
Bobby Fuller's brother, Randy, in the New Buffalo
Springfield.<br>Buffalo Springfield Revisited was a touring entity for
Dewey and Bruce for awhile, and though they weren't
half-bad, the other guys put the pressure on them to
stop.<br>Bruce is retired as well.<br>There's so much in John
Einarson's book, "For What It's Worth:The Story Of The
Buffalo Springfield," why not pick it up, and give us a
book report!
i love buffalo spingfield. and for what its worth is one of my all time favorite
songs. thanx for the invite. but i am curious how did the founder know to invite
me? ---jannut
Welcome to the cyber world! Just as much as you
get spam on the Rust bullitin board, the same is true
with announcements. A funny thing too, I almost didn't
recieve any spam until I subscribed to the Rust

All in favor of a live album say "buy!"<br>There
is live material on Neil Young's "Decade" release,
and a Neil-less Springfield on the "Monterey Pop"
boxed set, but we could probably do with a bit (lot!)
more, eh?
Jim Fielder, Doug Hastings, Ken Koblun. If these names don't ring the bell,
check out the "Buffalo Springfield Index" in the "Links" section on the left.
Has everyone read the book on David Geffen, "The
Operator," by Tom King? <br>It's a tale of tantrums,
skullduggery, and "starmaking machinery" at it's
worst.<br>There's several bits on Steve Stills, Neil Young, David
Crosby, Poco, and former Buffalo Springfield and
long-time Neil Young manager, Elliot Roberts.<br>Torrid,
yet engrossing, "The Operator" is further proof that
"the wooden ships were just a hippie dream."
Having read in a post that drummer Dewey Martin
is undergoing extensive physical therapy for leg and
arm ailments in LA, the possibilty of adding a new
drummer, should the Buffalo Springfield reunite,
exists.<br>While Dewey would have to be there (if only to sing
"Good Time Boy," no less), whom would you suggest as an
additional drummer?
Did you know that the Buffalo Springfield reunited? <br>Check out "Buffalo
Springfield '86" in the "Links" section, to the left, for an exciting
narrative...
