This is a very sad thing. Im sure they were honored to have you as well, that is
something they will always remember, that someone took their time to play for
their family member.

I had my first experience with the digital bugle a week or so ago. I work at
Fort Gibson Historic Site and as such we have an on site bugler. We had the
Combat Veterans Bikers Association national convention memorial service.
I offered them my services as a bugler as they were going to play Taps. The
organizer was thrilled to have a live bugler play. But the former Sgt. Major
from Virginia who was in command of the honor guard wanted to play Taps on his
digital bugle. IT WAS HORRIBLE!
The event organizer had me play a call before the program and had me play for
the flag raising. It was funny after the program all the guys came by and
complemented me on my bugle calls.

Veteran who was buried last week. Seems the digital piece of crap
government-provided phony bugle crapped out during the actual ceremony and some
of the family want the real thing for their Dad, husband, etc. It will be my
honor to do it for them, though I'm sure sad for the reason for it.
