Hey everybody,

We’ve got two San Francisco shows this month, which is rare, and we invite you to join us.  It’s a swing dance night at the retro Verdi Club Tuesday 12/13, which includes dance lessons before the band performs.  And New Year’s Eve brings the Bums back to the elegant Bimbo’s 365 Club, on a double bill trading sets with the New Morty Show, plus Mr. Lucky with Ralph Carney in the lounge.  We’re looking forward to this show as we’ll be performing with our pals from the New Morty Show including divas Connie Champagne and Kat Starr. More friends on the bill are Mr. Lucky featuring saxophonist Ralph Carney (Tom Waits) who will be performing in the lounge all night long.  Kitty Kitty Bang Bang Burlesque makes an appearance as well as the Lady in the Fishbowl (check out the bar just off the foyer).   This will be our 3rd New Year’s Eve Show at Bimbo’s, and we can’t think of a better place in the Bay Area to ring in the New Year!

Last month we had a ball at the Sonora Christmas Craft and Music Festival where Carmen sat in with Joe Craven’s band, and later Joe played violin with the Rhumba Bums.  Joe’s a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso who spent 15 years with David Grisman.  He’s an exciting entertainer with a great sense of humor and adventure, and he always has great musicians in his band.  Check out his CDs and catch him live: www.joecraven.com.  There is lots of great entertainment at these Fire On the Mountain festivals, including Sourdough Slim, another very funny multi-instrumentalist and world champion yodeler who performs western swing and cowboy tunes.  And also sitting, er, barging in with the Bums was a member of the hysterical and talented comedy/juggling team Grinn & Barrett.  Everything goes at these shows, we recommend you check out these events next year at www.fireonthemountain.com

Hope to see you soon, and Happy Holidaze!

Now stay tuned for our upcoming shows:
