Hey All,

A rare appearance by Steve Lucky & Carmen Getit's Hammond Cheese Combo, featuring Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums' Lucky on the Hammond B3 organ, Miss Getit on guitar, Scott Petersen on sax, and former Rhumba Bum Jay Hansen on drums.

The best way to describe it is '60s soul-jazz; the kind of greasy, groovy jazz you can sink your teeth into. It gets funky at times, and sometimes it gets go-go-ish. But mostly it's blues coming together with jazz over a deep groove. The Hammond Cheese Combo has performed at the SF Jazz Festival at Bimbo's 365 Club and Biscuits &  Blues in SF, and returns to Jazz at Pearls for one night only Thursday February 28.
