Hey everybody,

 

The Ides of March are almost upon us, and you know what that means (so why don’t you tell us -  because we don’t!).  We’ve got two, count ‘em, two local shows this month, which is rare, so we miss you!  The Bums return to Rancho Nicasio in Southern Marin County this Saturday.  Don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy yourself at this historic landmark.  Rancho, as we affectionately call it, features a beautiful wood dance floor, supper club seating, and dark mood lighting.  This is an all ages show, and all are welcome (that means YOU). 

 

Next Saturday March 21, we invite you to join us at one of our favorite digs, Biscuits and Blues in San Francisco.  This place has got mojo, you know?  It’s simply a fun room to play, and we love to catch shows here too.  It’s intimate – you can perch your table virtually on the edge of the stage if you wish, or relax in a comfy booth, and enjoy some delicious southern comfort food.  Plus there’s a full bar AND you can bring the kids!

 

For those of you looking to get some Luck-y of the Irish in March, take in the Steve & Carmen show at the River Rock Casino on Friday the 13^th.  But beware, if you care to sit in front of the band and listen, you’ll have to share your fanny and ears with slot machines.

 

March also presents two opportunities to catch Steve Lucky solo.  Señor Blue (you didn’t know this nickname?) tickles the ivories in San Francisco on Wednesday March 18^th and in Walnut Creek on Saturday March 28^th.

 

We had a ball in Truckee this past weekend with our Hammond Cheese Combo.  The mountains were covered in fresh snow, and Lake Tahoe sparkled like a beautiful winter gem in the sunlight.  We can’t wait to go back – probably in May, and suggest some of you come along.  Moody’s is a great place with fantastic food!!, great ambiance, super nice owners and employees and lots of colorful locals.

 

The Baby Corner:  Okay - you've asked for updates on the newest Rhumba Bum, so we oblige:  Monique is 28 months old, and she told her mommy she wants to grow up.  She’s also been telling us she was born a baby, and her birthday is in November.  I told her mommy and daddy were little babies once too.  She says “mommy a woman”, and “daddy a man”.  It’s become something of a parlor game to ask her if so-and-so is a boy/man or girl/woman, and find out who makes the cut.  She says she is a big “gell” – imagine a sort of british accent.  She also told us she is a drummer…so look out all you Rhumba Bum drummers!
