Meycauayan, Bulacan based band Caffeine pays tribute to the bygone days of '80s modern rock, maintaining the provocative charm of those velvety, dream pop/rock songs.
Caffeine begun in the year 2000, spurred on by cigarettes, beers and many nights of overanalyzing Railway Children music. Formed with a singular concept of writing good, solid guitar-driven pop/rock with a taste of familiarity. That was long a time ago, friends come and go, musical influences are outgrown and new things come into play.
May 2004, they released a three song (some have five which included a two live performances at The K-Litewave Session) EP called "The John L Session", which is recorded in the living room of Cowboy Ed's house. It contains original songs "Stay", "Call" and "My Tagalog Song". The EP is a charger that keeps the band going, knowing that there is something positive to come out in those countless hours of jamming. A full-length album is just around the corner, new materials are written, arranged and re-arranged, and old original songs tweaked to have the right sound that is unmistakably Caffeine, no preservatives added.

Caffeine is composed of Edward on vocals, Malvin on lead guitar, Rommel on bass guitar, Ludwig on drums and percussion and Emil on acoustic/rhythm guitar.
