The preference is to post lyrics directly transcribed from a tune, not from a book or other source, unless you know that the lyrics are EXACTLY the same for a certain recording.

Copying the lyrics from the liner notes is second best, as sometimes these vary a little from what is actually sung.

Bottom line, let us know where you got them: from memory, transcribed from listening to the cd, copied from the liner notes, etc.
