Reid, President & CEO of <br>Arista Records) exploded onto the <br>Billboard 200
album chart
this week. Her second album, M!SSUNDAZTOOD <br>(which hit stores November 20th)
debuts at
#8 with a first week Soundscan <br>total of 220,186 units. <br>Get the Party
Started
(written and produced by P!nks new collaborator <br>Linda Perry), is the first
across-the-board
smash single to come from <br>the new album, which is poised<br> to surpass
P!nks
multi-platinum debut from last year, Cant Take Me <br>Home.<br>P!nk has been
chosen as one of the
opening performers for the globally <br>televised Billboard Music Awards, live
from the MGM
Grand in Las Vegas <br>on Tuesday night, December 4th<br> (Fox network; please
check local
listings). The same day marks the <br>long-awaited commercial in-store date for
Get the Party
Started,which was <br>praised by Entertainment Weekly <br>(in a rare A- album
review) for possessing
the tricky synth hooks of a <br>perfect new wave hit from the 80s. The track
will be
issued in a <br>special double 12-inch package containing <br>six remixes:
