Attention Capitol Chordsmen! Form a new quartet!
If you like, add an extra bass and lead and make it a sextet!
We have a couple of small assisted living/nursing homes in the area who
would dearly love to have some daytime barbershop entertainment. While they
have little or no budget for such "entertainment", they provide wonderful,
appreciative audiences. This can be a great opportunity for newer quartets
to develop their performance skills in a low key, non-threatening
environment. (But first, of course, you would want to sing for the chorus,
so that we can "bless" you and send you on your way!)
If you would be interested in being part of such a new quartet/sextet, you
can either (1) talk to some other guys, sing a few polecat songs, and let
us know who you are or (b) if you are too shy or too new to know anyone
else yet, let Lowell Peck know that you are interested and ask him to help
find some other singers to team up with. He will help you select a few
songs and put a beginning program together. Then............who knows?
