The remaining two Carlene Carter albums from the LP era never issues
on CD are about to come out. On Oct. 25, Wounded Bird CDs, a reissue
label that seems to specialize in 1970s country/rock, will reissue
the following 2-on-1 CDs:

Carlene Carter (1978) / Blue Nun (1981)
Two Sides to Every Woman (1979) / Musical Shapes (1980)

It's a bummer that they didn't pair "Carlene Carter" and "Two Sides"
on one CD. That would be chronologically correct. It would also help
out those of us who have the "Blue Nun"/"Musical Shapes" reissue from
a few years ago. That reissue contained bonus tracks, which the
Wounded Bird set will not, which means you'll have to add to your
CDs, rather than replace them.

these as well.

Also, for what it's worth, the following week New West is issuing on
CD and DVD Johnny Cash's appearance on Austin City Limits from many
years ago.

And, finally, mark Sept. 26 on your calendars -- that's the day Carlene Carter
turns 50!
