By the time I heard about Carlene's show in Philadelphia, it was too
late for me: I'd already purchased tickets to see step-sister Rosanne
Cash in Alexandria, Va.'s Birchmere. Bummer that both shows had to be
on the same night. Rosanne was GREAT! I was truly amazed how engaging
her performance was, despite a series of technology snafus (par for
the course at the Birchmere). One of the few concerts I've ever seen
where the live versions of songs surpassed the recorded ones.
Sounds like we both got first-class entertainment.
