This is a group to discuss the music of Carl Hancock Rux and his album 'Apothecary Rx.' Carl once again raises the bar with his new release dropping on Giant Step Records on June 1st, 2004. 'Apothecary Rx' seamlessly mixes Delta blues and storyville with vanguard rock, vintage R&B, classical music, futuristic pop and hip-hop beats. The album features the likes of Stephanie McKay, Helga Davis and Chocolate Genius a.k.a. Marc Anthony Thompson.

Carl Hancock Rux is a purveyor of art — music, ideas, words, drama and thoughts just come naturally to this modern day Renaissance man. Along with his new album he is also about to make his debut as an author with his novel "Asphalt" (Atria Books/Simon and Schuster) coming out on May 18, 2004.
