I have a Candelas guitar and to be honest, it's the best investment
I've made so far. I've tried the guitars that range from $800-900 and
they are ok. The one that I own is a concert model (retail at $3200).
It's an expensive guitar BUT its sound is way different from the
rest. Candelas, in my opinion, are the best to use for mariachi. My
guitar is a spruce top with indian rosewood back and sides. It packs
a big punch. I'm actually having another one custom made for me. It's
a spruce top with brazilian rosewood back and sides, retail at $7500.
I'm just using that one for classical guitar though. If your willing
to invest about $3200 in a Candelas guitar, I'm telling you, it will
be one of the best invest you'll ever make.
Just my opinion,
Roman Coronado
