Just wanted to take a moment and let all my friends know that my sister did have
her baby last night. Obviously by the title you can tell it's a girl. We knew in
advance that she was a girl (I didn't want to know, but my sister can't keep a
secret, another long story for another day). Mom and baby are doing fine.
According to Sherry, labor was induced with some kind of pill Wednesday evening.
Because they came into check on her every hour, she obviously didn't get much
sleep that night. She went into active labor Thursday morning with out the
Petossin drip. However, she never proceed passed a "6" dilation. Early evening
she had a contraction that wouldn't end and the baby went into distress, so the
doctor made the call to take the baby by C-section. Sherry's a little upset as
according to her, "I went 9 months without a stretch mark and now have this
scar." I do think she's glad it's all over, though. The baby's name is Ashtyn
Laine Alabbasi. She weighed in @ 5lbs 10 ozs and was 19
inches long and she was born @ 8:42 Denver Broncos time in Littleton Colorado.
Anyways, I'm a new aunt now. She makes niece number 16, but since I have 2 boys,
little girls are always exciting to me. I have 10 nephews and they're great
too!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, have a good weekend all!!!!!!!!!!
