Hello everyone! I went scouring the second hand vinyl
shops (for records not clothing LOL) and bought two
Teardrop Explodes 12" singles for 4 bucks. When I got
home later I perused the cover of one with "Count to
Ten" and "Run For Cover" and "Poppies" on the A side.
I got a surprise when I saw written underneath the
"Poppies" title that it was produced by the
Chameleons! I never knew of such a collaboration
between my favourite musical genii (geniuses?). Were
there any others that I missed along the way with
other groups? Chris

Hi Christopher,
Nice score on those Teardrop Explodes 12"s!
I think everyone has, at some time, made the assumption you made, but these
Chameleons are David Balfe and Bill Drummond who did production work under the
name of The Chameleons.
It's all good,
Zak

I don't think that's our Chameleons. It's some different people.
My copy of Echo an the Bunnymen's "Crocodiles" also has
produced by The Chameleons written on it.
Anyone know who they these producer Chameleons are?

could someone get me up to speed? the band's web site
makes it sound like the band is just on hiatus,
members working on individual projects -- is there any
likelihood of new Chameleon's shows on recordings in
the near future? Any news on a new release from Mark,
or on the 25th anniversary version of Script?

Hello All,
Does anybody know what happened to the mac site of Mark Burgess/ Chameleonsvox.
My favorites URL does not work anymore.
http://web.mac.com/chameleonsmark/iWeb/Site/Chameleonsvox.html
I wonder if his biography will come out before X-mas and what about the 25th
anniversary of SOTB?

I agree with the previous post.
Its nearly 800 pages long and also a hardcover......but more importantly its
written by (imo) a man who has huge music talent (lyrically as well as the
music). It if were listed on the stock market it would be a "MUST BUY"!!

Quite.
I don't understand how anyone who likes the Chameleons (actually does
anyone actually just 'like' them and not love them?) is not keenly
awaiting this publication and would buy it whatever the price (within
reason.)

When it's the difference between being able to pay your mortgage or buy food
to put on the table for your family, then yeah, it is rather hard to justify, no
matter how much you love the band.
