I thought I read somewhere that Charlie Parker recorded on 28/10/1947 for DIAL his version of Stravinsky 's Firebird Suite under the title Bird Of Paradise.
 
can someone confirm this?
 
it's the classic C. P. 5tet with M.D on tp, Duke Jordan on p, Tommy Potter on b and Max Roach on ds
 
BTW  mentioning  Duke Jordan, is he still alive?
