I am sorry to say that this list has been hijacked by a spammer. Also
the list owner, moderator has disappeared, so there is no way to put
an end to this.

The only solution i can think of is to restart the group, and in
effort to reinvigorate the group i have set up a new Parker group. You
can joind by sending an email to:

Or going to the lists web page and joining:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Charlie_Parker/

i have written a brief intro, but will write a better one later, and i
will invite Parker scholars to join who i do not think are on this list.

While discussion is intended of Parker, it can also be of associated
musicians and also of Parker's influences. So please join, and let us
see if proper due can be given to Parker and not have it as a place
for spammers to distribute their dubious wares.

To that end, first mails to the list will be moderated, but all
subsequent contributions will go unmoderated till they prove to be
spam or abusive and obnoxious.
