This stellar evening provides a rare opportunity to catch the finest
in Bay Area Rhythm and
Blues while lending a helping hand at the same time. All of the
musicians have generously
donated their services and the proceeds from this event will go
directly to the "Tipitina's
Artist Relief Effort". Until the recent devastation of Hurricane
Katrina, the Tipitina's
Foundation had devoted its efforts to uplifting the New Orleans music
community through
its Music Co-op Office, Instruments A-Comin' benefit concerts and the
Tipitina's
Internship Program. That mission has changed, as they now fight to
save and rebuild that
very community. They are currently finding musicians housing, gigs
and instruments while
they raise funds through donations and nationwide benefit concerts to
meet the
challenges facing them in the coming weeks and months. More
