Alright, this was originally a newsgroup for Analog synths, but I think that market is completely saturated. So, I changed this newsgroup to be more about inexpensive ways to produce electronic music. I feel that some very cheap gear is capable of producing great sounds on record.
Of course, I am not bashing expensive gear or limiting this discussion (or myself for that matter) to the glory of cheap gear.

But, the market is full of ridiculously priced analog synths, and here I am going to delve into some products that you might not know about, or that you SHOULD know about. Things like the Yamaha CS-01, the Casio CZ-101 and RZ-1, cheap Korg and Akai synths, not to mention stompboxes and other sonic toys that don't put a hurt on your wallet. These inexpensive peices of gear can widen your sonic pallete or get you started. Let's get some discussion going!
